How to Use GigsList.net is Get Seen

GigsList is a self promo PR engine that has only ever been marketed to the entertainment industry. To promote yourself and network for industry contacts you have to get out there and get seen and talk to people. On GigsList.net you can do it remotely on one platform.

Go to GigsList.net Classifieds or Greenrooms and post something. Sell, rent, ask for, self promo, events, discuss, rant. There’s a board for each.

To contact somebody directly:

Like their post you like.

Click on the author’s profile icon.

Go to their webpage on GigsList.net

Click Follow, the Message button appears.

Write your message and click the Send thingy.
Members’ images and videos:
This is a near future feature, when GigsList gets funding to maintain it. The software is built and installed, just need more servers and a tech. Get your industry acquaintances to GigsList.net and get them to join a paid GigsList membership.

After you get a membership, yes.
Does GigsList take Paypal, Credit Cards or Debit Cards?

Click Boards at the top or bottom of the page.
Posting
GigsList won’t let me post?-
GigsList has anti cuss word and anti-spam bots. Take out the cuss words and spammy phrases, and try again.
Menus not working?
Clear your browser’s cache and reload.
Why can’t I post images and videos on the Boards?
Not everybody knows how to format their image memory storage to web. When we have have more paid members we can get more servers to handle everybody's images and videos.
My post is text only, but still won’t post?
Your post is likely too long. Spit it up in several parts. Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. for example.
How do I format posts so people can read them easier?

Short paragraphs.

Use bullet points wherever possible.

Put all headings in bold.
My post isn’t getting likes?
GigsList members are all professionals and a tough audience. They like useful truthful information with out hyperbole. Try adding an interesting backstory to what you are posting. Also get your industry acquaintances to join GigsList.net and like your stuff.
What keywords to used in posts?
Use keywords and phrases you’d use in searches to find your own kind of business.

Who reads GigsList?
Entertainment, media, arts professionals and businesses.
How many visitors does GigsList get?
It varies wildly! According to what goes viral and what people are searching for that day. Average 500 visitors per day to 45,000 visitors in one day.
Why doesn’t GigsList have big social media followings?
Social media takes up a lot of time. GigsList prefers to spend time on it’s members.
I don’t think GigsList gets enough visitors and followers?
GigsList is a B2B zine, business to business, to get business and gigs and network. It’s quality, who is sees you not how many see you, that counts. On target viewers.

Why a Sponsor’s guest blog/editorial and not banner ads?
Sponsors are seen as experts, not ads, and get more clicks and hits. Plus your editorial stays up permanently, has ten times more ad space and has keywords, so searches and search engines can find you.
What are Greenrooms?
Greenrooms are private groups, discussion boards, for sponsors and producers to meet with their teams and post team news updates and production plans and instructions. Which is more reliable than sending out emails that can get lost, corrupted or sent or forwarded to the wrong person. And you only have to answer project questions once.
Why should producers and projects sponsor GigsList?

No! GigsList publishes lists of grants. Better value!

No! GigsList is not a licensed investment broker. But we do publish verified entertainment investment groups and investors. Better value!

Why should my business link to its GigsList profile?
Linking GigsList to your site and back, cross linking, creates a circuit that helps search engines find you. More so that GigsList publishes and shares related content to what your business does.
Can I point a custom web domain to my free GigsList profile?
Yes! you can direct your own custom web domain to your free GigsList profile. Example: YourWebName.com Then use your GigsList profile as your website and virtual office, endorsed by GigsList. (No site hosting or message app fees, starving artist friendly!)
How do I compose, format and write my resume on my GigsList profile?
People have short attention spans. Keep it short and sweet. A summary of what you do in one paragraph. Below that your career highlights in bullet points. Example: https://www.gigslist.net/member-profile/gigslist/profile
I don’t like GigsList profile url format?
We’re working on it. Meantime point your own custom domain address to your GigsList profile. You will see it’s better for your business in any case.

Is GigsList an agency?
Not at this time, but working on it. The software is loaded.
Where is the entertainment contract library that was on GigsList 3.0?
It’s currently going through a rebuild and updating contracts.
Why doesn’t GigsList have video backgrounds?
Flashing images aren’t friendly to people with light sensitivity. And it’s distracting.
